Reforestation and Forest Fire Prevention Project

The Reforestation and Forest Fire Prevention Project is our active response to the twin crises of deforestation and extreme wildfires. We work with local partners, tribal leaders, and community volunteers to restore damaged forests with climate-smart tree planting, while also redesigning how these landscapes are managed so they are less likely to burn catastrophically.
Every contribution helps us move from ash and erosion to living, resilient forests. We begin by assessing priority areas-often places where communities face repeated fire evacuations or where upstream land degradation threatens water supplies. We then design reforestation plans that match the right native species to the right microclimates, improving biodiversity, stabilizing soils, and enhancing carbon storage.
Equally important, we invest in fire prevention. That includes strategic fuel reduction, firebreak planning, and early-warning technologies, as well as community education on defensible space and evacuation readiness. This blend of replanting and prevention protects homes, wildlife habitat, critical infrastructure, and the air quality of entire regions.
For supporters, the benefits are concrete. You can choose to sponsor specific acres replanted, contribute to wildfire mitigation in high-risk communities, or fund field trainings where local residents become year-round stewards of their forests. We track and share metrics such as trees planted, acres restored, and high-risk zones treated, so you can see the climate and safety gains your gift creates.
This project also connects directly with our other initiatives: healthier forests reduce erosion that can foul water systems, and they buffer communities where we are creating affordable housing for veterans, seniors, and families. When you stand with this work, you are helping turn burn scars into thriving green corridors that lock away carbon and keep people safer.
